What is Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fudge?
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fudge is a recipe I came up with after having a surplus of Freeze Dried Strawberries that I bought at Trader Joes. I LOVE freeze dried strawberries and eat them just as a snack by themselves or even in my cereal for added sweetness. I purchased two bags the last time that I was at Trader Joes, and decided to come up with a sweet treat to use them in.
This fudge is a two layer fudge, making it not only pretty, but also delicious! When you take a bite, you first taste the dark chocolate layer on the bottom and then the strawberry flavor hits you! WOW! Such a delicious treat! You only need a few ingredients and no special tools for this one.
What do I need to make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fudge?
I’m not kidding when I say that the list is short! Here is all you need to make this delicious stuff:
White Chocolate Chips
Dark Chocolate Chips
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Freeze Dried Strawberries
A sauce pan
Parchment Paper
A knife for slicing
How do I make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fudge?
- To start, place all but a handful of freeze dried strawberries into a blender or food processor and run on high speed to create a strawberry powder. Set the powder aside to use later in the recipe.
2. Heat your sauce pan over medium heat. Add in 1.5 cups of your dark chocolate chips and half of a 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly to combine until melted. The chocolate mixture will start to pull away from the sides of the pan. This is how you know it’s ready!
3. Spread the mixture into a 8×8 square pan lined with parchment paper into an even layer pressing the layer totally flat and up to all for sides of the pan. Place in the freezer to cool while you prepare the next layer.
4. Rinse out your pan and dry well. Heat the pan on medium heat again and this time add in 1.5 cups of white chocolate chips and the other half of the sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly to combine until the mixture starts to pull away from the edge of the pan again.
5. Place half of the white chocolate fudge into a bowl and add in 1/4 cup of the powdered freeze dried strawberries. Mix well to combine to create the strawberry fudge. Add in the second half of the white chocolate fudge to the bowl with the strawberry fudge and mix lightly to create a swirl effect.
6. Spread the white chocolate/strawberry fudge into an even layer on top of the dark chocolate fudge. While the fudge is still soft, use the remaining whole freeze dried strawberry slices to decorate the top. You could also add sprinkles at this stage if you’d like!
7. Place the fudge into the refrigerator or freezer to set (about 10 minutes)
8. Remove the fudge from the pan using the edges of the parchment paper to lift. Using a sharp knife, cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week!

How should I package my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fudge?
I love getting creative when it comes to both cooking and packaging! For Valentine’s Day, the sky’s the limit! I think it would be cute to get a heart shaped box and cut the fudge into smaller squares to put inside the box in mini cupcake liners. You could also individually wrap squares in cellophane bags and tie with red and pink ribbon for a work or kid’s party! There are a million and one things you could do! Really, you can’t go wrong!

It’s been forever since I’ve mad chocolate fudge. The hubby prefers peanut butter so that’s what I usually go with. May have to make an exception for this! 😍

I swear that everything you make looks so delicious! I have not made fudge in ages so I definitely need to remedy that.
